Who are we?!?!
Growing up in “our hometown” we consistently found ourselves searching for something to fill our thirst of knowledge and inquiry learning. While school was a great resource for us, we were always left wanting more hands-on science, math and technology opportunities and discovery experiences. As we became adults and pursued our educational professions, we still were searching for this opportunity to arise. When the spot . . . a Child’s Museum was developed 5 years ago we were elated and ecstatic at the wonderful resources, exciting exhibits, and dynamic programs it brought to our community. We feel that the youth of Prescott’s community is hungry for knowledge and discovery and should be supported by a safe, sanctioned place for children to exercise discovery skills, socialize, increase hands-on experiences, and develop problem solving strategies that will be useful throughout their lives. The Spot . . . a Child’s Museum is dedicated to the process of making that happen and has generously agreed to host the First Annual Mile High STEM Conference.
